When I can not think of anything to write I look at big words that sound cool and have a cool definition and use it in my writing.

I love the quote that Mrs. Spitzer had up as a daily quote earlier in the year. It said, "Laugh and the world laughs with you. Snore and you sleep alone." It was written by Anthony Burgess.

When I get stuck and don't know what to write about, I always thing of the books or movies I like, then I write a paragraph review. Lately I have been loving reading "The Hunger Games" series by Suzanne Collins, this story line has inspired to to express my feelings about what I have been reading, through writing. For this book series, I have written a few paragraphs about how Gale probably felt when Katniss was in the games. Another story which I have been interested in, is the movie Titanic. This movie has motivated me to start writing an obituary's to my favorite character, Jack Dawson, and to rant about the ending of the movie. Over all, I think it is easiest to find writing inspiration in the things and stories you love.

When I get stuck when I am writing, I take a deep breath and then try to think happy thoughts for about 4 to 5 mins. If that doesn't work,I just ask for help.

When I get stuck writing I either think of book titles, song titles and the first line in a song. That stuff really gives me a good idea on what to write and it is how most of my poems were written. Also, another thing that helps me is looking outside or looking around the classroom. When I do this I can find a certain tree or a certain chair that I can write a poem or story about.

When I get stuck during my writing time, I usually look at the things around me and just choose something to write about. It could be anything from the eraser on my pencil to the new chair that I really like sitting in.

What I do when I get stuck writing is look at the title of the piece I'm writing. It helps me remember what I set out to write about and helps me stay on track. I also read everything I have already written to try to add to what I already have. If that doesn't help I take a small break from writing (like 5 minutes) and when I come back I try again.

When I get stuck on my writing, I sometimes think of a song that goes with my piece. The lyrics usually give me good ideas for my writing and I can go from there. Also, switching the writing piece that I'm working on helps me as well.

When I get stuck writing, I like to just take a break, and read. I also find looking at good quotes inspirational. One quote that I find especially inspiring, is one from Everything Everything by Nicola Yoon, "The greatest risk is not taking one."

Art calms me down and makes me peaceful but when people try to annoy me I get mad because when you are doing art you have to focus concentrate think about nothing but that drawing, sculpture, or painting you are working and if that drawing is not going well draw something else

When I am stuck writing, I think of my alternate personality. I have this weird fantasy that I have a Stephen Hawking-like alternate personality where I sit at my desk and write all day. It's silly, but if I picture my self as a sophisticated old man I seem to write more efficiently and faster.
