One of my top five favorite protagonists is Elphaba from the book Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West by Gregory Macguire. Many know her from the musical, but she was first cast in the book, which means, she was allowed much more complexity. I enjoyed every adventure with her as she sought out who she was in a world that refused to see past her "green" skin. She paved her own path, and led the way for others in the process. Then of course, along comes that nasty tornado that really shakes things up and casts her as the wicked one. Really? Maybe Dorothy shouldn't have taken the shoes in the first place... Five star character in my book! We all have favorite MAIN characters from books, movies, and television shows. What is it about these protagonists that makes them stand out? My favorite character is Jeffrey or Maniac Magee. He is from the book Maniac Magee. Maniac's parents died when he was little and lived with his awful grandparents until he was eight. He had finally had enough so he ran away. I like how he doesn't look back and he keeps running, now he lives with a family on the other end of town where he is bullied for being white, I like how he doesn't let any of the bullying get to his head.

My favorite protagonist is Laura wilder from the book series Little House On The Prairie. Laura is my favorite because she does so many memorable things. Also because Laura is brave and smart. She does things for other people when they ask without a problem. One example of when she was being kind was when she helped her pa on the farm because it would take him longer if she did not help.

My favorite character from a book is Cosette from Les Miserables. She at a young age was left at a different family due to her mother having to find a stable job. Cosette was mistreated in her new home and her new family would lie to her mother to get more money. Cosette is a kind girl who grew into a beautiful lady and fell in love with a boy that was in search of finding whoever saved his father. Cosette was always kind hearted and was mistreated from her family but she was always kind no matter what. She loved her "father" who was a mayor that used to be a criminal for stealing bread for his sister. He met Cosette's mother before she died from shock and then he found Cosette and took her away from her horrid family.

My favorite character is Mark watney because he is very funny. He is memorable because he works hard and never gives up. While on Mars, his crew left him there and there was very little possible way to survive. He did everything to get off of it and he finally did. When I grow up, and I have a tough time, I will remember to not give up like Mark Warney

My favorite protagonist is Tyrion Lannister from Game Of Thrones. I like him because he doesn't take no crap from nobody and does anything as long as it is the right thing to do. He also proves that your size doesn't matter because he is really really short and yet he broke out of a prison convoy and managed to escape alive.

One of my favorite main characters (or protagonists) in a book would have to be Melody from Out Of My Mind. Melody has cerebral palsy, and cannot talk, or even move very well. The main reason Melody is one of my favorite characters, is because she is very, very tough. She in used to being judged by her peers, and not having very many friends. One event in the story that makes Melody very tough, is (I hope I don't give anything away in the book) when her pretty much only friend turns on her. I felt very sorry for Melody, and if I was in her position, I would have been very sad, and maybe would have cried. But being the amazing Melody, she didn't even cry, and it barely seemed like she was affected by the whole situation. If you're wondering how Melody's friend turned on her, I suggest reading the book. It's very good!

My favorite main character is Macgyver because he is so smart and resourceful. He can make a bomb out of fertilizer paper and string. That's really cool. And he's against guns but always has a swiss army knife and can make something out of nothing. He works for a government business called the phoenix foundation.

My favorite fictional character is Hermione from Harry Potter. She stands out to me because even though she's smart she has a lot of flaws. She is not very open minded, and she's very bossy . She refuses to believe that the Deathly Hallows exist, not to mention other things that Luna tells her about. Characters in books are often perfect, and hardly anyone in Harry Potter is! I like this because it makes the books seem more realistic, and it makes the characters more relatable

My favorite protagonist, is the main character's best friend, Cat, from Read Me Like a Book. I like Cat because she's sassy, kind, humorous, and has an attitude. She's always there to comfort, and help Ash through hard times, considering the whole book is about Ash facing problems. Through every one of them, Cat's there for Ash. Cat is a super best friend, and at first in the book, pretty much Ash's only friend until later in the book.

My favorite protagonist is Katnis Everden from the Hunger Games. The reason I she is my favorite protagonist is she always stands up and tries to make things better even though she can get killed. She stood up to the president to make sure that the killing would stop. When her sister was supposed to to go to the Hunger Games she went instead of her. That is why Katnis Everden is my favorite protagonist.

My favorite character is Timmy from the book "Timmy Failure". He is basically the main character, He is kinda dumb, fine he is really dumb. Timmy is a detective with his sidekick Polar bear he calls "Total". I have no idea why he wanted a Polar bear to be his sidekick, but Timmy is full of mysteries himself.I love the way he is bad at his own job, he proclaims his mother's closet to be his detective agency. His mother does not want him to do all this "detective" stuff she would rather like him to study his notes. But she knows that Timmy would never do that.

My favorite character from the movie Mulan is Mushu. He is hilarious and that makes him memorable. He stands out from all the other characters in the movie by making comments that are funny or rude to people but that's what makes him stand out, and he is a bright red dragon. I don't know about you but i have never heard anyone say they don't like him, or that he isn't funny.

My favorite protagonist is Four from the book Divergent. I like Four because he faces his fears instead of feeling helpless. Also, Four is extremely loyal and compassionate. Four stands out because he only has 4 fears and is able to easily face them. Four cares about other people in the book, especially Tris, his girlfriend. Four tries to protect Tris in every way possible, sometimes hurting himself to make sure she is not harmed. These are the reasons why Four is my favorite protagonist.

My favorite character would be Thomas from The Maze Runner. He is a great leader to the other gladers even though he is a new member. He gives them hope that they can find a way out of the maze and that they can take on the grievers. Thomas is also very brave and curious which is why he is not afraid from anyone in the glade or the grievers. Thomas is definitely on my top 5 favorite characters but I don't know about number one.

The main character I like the most is Thomas from The Maze Runner series. Thomas is a strong and smart boy who is given away by his Flare ( main disease ) infected mother to W.I.C.K.E.D ( World In Catastrophe Killzone Experiment Department ) for brain ( killzone ) testing in the Maze. The Maze is one of many variables that Thomas and his friends have to escape. Finally in the last book they escape the flare infected world and W.I.C.K.E.D. They made it to paradise.

One of my all time favorite Tv shows is The 100. Clarke Griffin was a criminal and was always tough around her peers. When she had to choose between the Grounders sacrificing the one who killed the Grounders people or all the people of Clarke's kind die. Clarke was really close to the person that killed the Grounders, and she knew that he did it for her. What the Grounders didn't know, was that it was a mistake. Instead of letting the Grounders kill the murderer, she killed him herself. That was a tough move for her. She still stays strong, even when she killed the one she loved.

One of my favorite movies, play and musicals of all time is the movie ''Mary Poppins.'' It is a wonderful movie of a nanna that comes in too take care of a family with two children because the parents are always busy. The character that I mostly look up to is the man named Bert which works as one of the Chimney guys. I have loved that movie since I was a child and still do. Why I love Bert from the movie ''Mary Poppins'' because he is really funny and I encounter him as a very good actor. I also really like Bert because he has always been really kind to Mary Poppins and the kids, even though most of his life, he has been really poor. He is a really talented and loved by the Banks' children and by Mary Poppins. I have always really enjoyed the adventures of Bert and Mary Poppins and all their adventures always have inspired me. I would rate this wonderful, happy, creative, and incredibly kind character a five star because of his actions and the movie,in general, a five star also. I have always loved to watch old fashioned movies and have always loved old fashioned books. If someone hasn't watched the play or watched the movie yet, I would totally recommend you this.

My favorite protaganist is Mia from If I stay. She is very brave because her family falls into a ditch in her car. When she gets out of the car she walks around and finds the rest of her family dead. When she walks back to her car she finds herself dead/in a comma. This shows she is very brave because she had the courage to get out of the car and look for the rest of her family and not cry or have an emotional break down right there.

My favorite protagonist is Harry Potter from the Harry Potter series. I think Harry is so important and memorable because he put his life on the line to protect everyone. Voldemort is pure evil and wanted to kill Harry and anything his way. The problem was Harry wouldn't allow it. He knew he was the only one who could stop him so he did everything he could to save the ones he loved. Harry was even willing to die for them. That's what makes Harry Potter so memorable.

One of my favorite protagonists is Harry Potter from the Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling. Most people know him from the 8 movies, but he first appeared in the first book of the series "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone." With there being 7 books and 8 movies this allows many backstories and questions to be made. I enjoyed every bit of the movies/books as he learned magic. Until Voldemort went and ruined almost all of it.

My favorite protagonist is from the TV show Arrow, is Oliver Queen. Oliver stands out the most from all the other characters because he was the one who founded "Team Arrow". He also tries to live with two identities and two different lives. "The Green Arrow" is memorable with his green hood, leather body armor, and longbow. He also has special green arrows that have multiple purposes like tying people up, or arrows that explode. His one goal is simple: to save Starling City.

My favorite protagonist is Piper McLean from The Heroes Of Olympus. What makes her stand out is the fact that she doesn't care that she is pretty. She is the daughter of Aphrodite, which means that she is really pretty. She stands out because she isn't like her ''siblings,'' (her cabin mates) that are all self centered and worry about how they look. That is why she is one of my favorite characters.

My favorite book character is Thomas from The Maze Runner series. I love Thomas for how brave and caring he is. If I had to choose one character from a book to help me survive in the wild, it would by far be him, because of his "leave no man behind" attitude. One example of this is when one of his friends from the maze gets the flare, even though they will soon be dangerous, Thomas insists on carrying them with the pack. I wish there were more books with a character like Thomas in them.

My favorite character is Melody from Out of My Mind by Sharon Draper. In the beginning Melody appeared simple because she can't communicate, has tornado explosions (tantrums), screams and drools. Although she appears simple, once Melody gets a Medi-talker which helps her communicate, she can be normal. Melody took a test for a national competition. She was the only one in her class to pass it. Melody stood up for herself and honestly told the fifth grade class and teacher they had treated her unfairly when they went to Washington without her. Because of her Medi-talker, the reader realizes that Melody is complex.
